Nerea Cabo Blanco was born from a feeling: the living passion for the sea. It evokes the moment in which the voices of the Nereids came out of the depths of the ocean, wanting to reveal everything that is beautiful in the marine world. Architecture in total symbiosis with its environment — volumes attached to the mountain, cross ventilation generated by interior bodies of water, passive sustainability strategies that reduce temperature without machinery.

To the south, the only neighbors are the deer, the pelicans, the flora and fauna of Costa Rica’s first Absolute Nature Reserve. Heading north along the coast, just minutes away, lies Santa Teresa — creative, culinary, effervescent. In the middle of these two energies, there is balance. That balance is Nerea.

Every surface is designed to be felt. The warmth of wood in vertical and horizontal planes. The cool, subdued stone rounded in patterns and transitions. Forty percent of the units were placed in the first four months — before a single final render existed.
